Philosophy of Education
I believe that ALL children are capable of learning. As an educator it is my desire and duty to assist students in reaching their highest potential. To do so, I believe it is essential to provide them with an environment that is safe, structured, stimulating and diverse. I also believe it is essential that we provide students the tools of the 21st century to be competitive with their peers throughout the world.
To reach every child and raise them to their greatest potential one must encourage them to share ideas, take risks, and act upon their curiosities all the while maintaining a high level of respect for themselves and those around them.
Technology plays an integral role in the education of today’s student. My experiences as a library media specialist address that very concept, and enable me to teach students of all abilities. My attention to detail enables me to learn the continually changing technologies of today and methodically plan and guide my students through their own learning process.
